About Us Today India is a 59 years old republic. In the last 59 years, nations have been built and destroyed, dictators have ruled and lost, democracies have worked and collapsed but India has continued to march ahead towards prosperity as a united nation. We have made commendable progress in technology, industrialization, agriculture, education and military power. Today we are the largest producer of milk, the number one in remote sensing satellites, the second largest producer of wheat and rice. This list can go on and on and on. We have changed the way the world looks at us. In spite of India achieving so much, not every one of us is proud of being Indian probably because we do not know much about ourselves. Of course a lot of us are patriotic but let us not keep this nice feeling to just ourselves. Pride and patriotism have to be made infectious. This is precisely the reason why we have put up this website. We, Aparna and Gaurav, are financial analysts by profession and married to each other. We believe that our nationality is our only identity. We have put this belief into practice by naming our twin kids as 'Siddhant Bharat' and 'Shatakshi Bharat'. The world will always know them as 'Bhartiya-Indian'. We are proud. We are Indian. We wish to put on record our sincere thanks to: 1. Col (Retd.) C. K Singh (our Mausaji) who has always been a source of encouragement and it was because of him that we could get access to some very rare books available only in army libraries. 2. Mr. S.S. Gandhi, the author of "Potraits of Valour". This book is the best source to know and learn about the various gallantry awards. We also had the opportunity of personally meeting Mr. Gandhi in Delhi. |
